BRIEF STORY OF A DREAM
The CIEP was founded by Professor Maria Gomes Barbosa, D. Ivete on August 1, 1979 in Paracuru, being then called Centro Educacional Hildebrando Leite. On January 25, 1984, it had its corporate name changed and became Centro Integrado de Ensino Paracuru/Paraipaba, having been officially inaugurated in Paraipaba on February 10, 1984, initially operating in a building provided by the City Hall of Paracuru, municipality of which Paraipaba it was district.
In the following year, 1985, Paraipaba was politically emancipated and at the end of the year, the city hall requested the building where the CIEP operated. It was then that D. Ivete decided to buy land to build her own School. And with the support of his family and many volunteers, in 1986 the CIEP started another school year at its final address. Those were difficult years, marked by the will of its founder and the incessant search to offer the best teaching and learning in the region.
In 1998, it consolidated itself as the largest private school in Paraipaba, operating in three shifts. In 2000, it became the only private school in the city to offer all three levels of Basic Education. In October 2004, a corporate review changed once again the corporate name to simply CIEP - Centro Integrado de Ensino de Paraipaba . Thus, the construction of a dream was consolidated. The CIEP materialized as a reality that was based on a dream considered by many to be too big to happen. But, after all, how big is a dream?
Our School exists to prove that not everything is measured by conventional standards. Some things have another dimension, another volume, another weight, as is the case with imagination, fantasy and dreams.
We can have a small dream that grows into something much bigger, or we can have a big dream that, over time, helps us accomplish the small and large things in life. In fact, it's not the dream itself that matters, but what we do with it.
There are 36 years, CIEP also started as a dream and what made CIEP a teaching model in this region, during all this time, was something very real: the will and the ability to evolve to offer a higher quality education.
In these more than three decades, each day was the first in the pursuit of achieving our goals. We learn by growing and we grow by learning. And so the CIEP shares its educational vocation with thousands of students and parents and dozens of teachers and collaborators, in addition to contributing, through education, to the human, economic and social development of our region.
Here we say that if CIEP is what it is today, it was because we never worried about how big our dream could be, we just worked tirelessly to make it stand. And that's what we like to call the Evolution of Teaching : the mania we have of never stop dreaming of success and this constant desire to achieve.
